Winter environments are harsh when looking to maintain a sound carbon footprint. This is further complicated by the unique requirements of building apartments in a four-season resort such as Niseko.
Kizuna apartments, from it’s very outset, is a development which has been designed with sustainability and low operating costs in mind. Energy efficient features such as large double-glazed windows for ample natural light, and world class LED lighting from LEDION (7W) and KOPA (13W) ensures the lowest heat transfer (wasted energy) currently available (saving 75-85% power consumption on standard halogen lighting). This combined with full insulation using modern standards and materials, with optimum positioning of the building on the site to ensure maximum thermal heating from the winter sun all combine to result in one of Niseko’s most environmentally developments to date.
All of the Kizuna apartments are appointed to the highest standard ensuring the luxury finish you deserve..
Each Kizuna apartment furthermore has individual heating systems and air-conditioning allowing individual control throughout the year, increasingly important with the rapidly growing summer market. In addition this level of control allows the shutting down of individual apartments during unoccupied periods to reduce operating cost.
In addition to unobtrusive panel (boiler/water) heating, all living areas have under floor heating. Modern window ventilation systems have been utilized for efficient summer cooling when air-conditioning isn’t required.
